The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

What Bettors Need To Know

Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars (+3, 45)

CURRENT ODDS

Oddsmakers are reluctant to move on or off the key number (3) in the NFL because favorites win by exactly a field goal nearly 10-percent of the time. The books are especially careful on primetime games due to the heavy volume of action and prefer to adjust the moneyline, instead of the actual pointspread.

This is evident in this game as some sportsbooks currently have Tennessee -2½ -120, while others have the Titans -3 +105.

The over/under line opened at 44.5 and has since gone up to 45. The public is split on the total, with only 53 percent favoring the over, according to the Covers.com consensus, while 68 percent of the public is backing the Titans.

INJURY REPORT

Going into their first division game of the season, the Titans are healthier than they have in a while. Wide receiver Justin Gage (hamstring) and punter Brett Kern (hamstring) were the only members of the active roster that didn’t practice on Friday.

Running back Chris Johnson (sore thigh), defensive tackle Tony Brown (knee) and receiver Damian Williams (illness) all returned to practice after sitting out Thursday.

”We’re getting there,” coach Jeff Fisher said. “Last week was a little shaky, but I think yesterday helped, and just the fact that the injuries we have had have been somewhat minor in nature.”

Things continue to look up for cornerback Jason McCourty (forearm), who’s been out since undergoing surgery following the third game of the season. He practiced for a second straight day on Friday.

”He’s been cleared to practice, but he’s not been permitted to have any contact yet,” Fisher said. “So he’s close.”

Jacksonville running back Maurice Jones-Drew’s right wrist and hand were taped and wrapped during the week and he skipped practice to give his hand some extra healing time, but he is probable for Monday night.

”It’s a swollen hand,” Jones-Drew said. “We’re just trying to get the swelling down. That's pretty much it, nothing serious. There’s no structural damage.”

The Jaguars’ Derek Cox missed Friday’s practice with a hamstring injury just a few days after being earning a starting cornerback job for Monday night’s game. Fullback Brock Bolen (groin), linebacker Jacob Cutrera (calf), and guard Justin Smiley (foot) also missed practice on Friday.

Linebacker Justin Durant and defensive end Aaron Kampman both participated fully after missing Thursday’s practice.

WHO YOU CALLIN' DIRTY?

Josh McDaniels thinks so. Denver’s head coach blasted the Titans for dirty play after his team won in Tennessee two weeks ago. The media made a big deal about it, but when the Jacksonville players were asked about it, they did not seem to agree with McDaniels.

”They’re one of those teams that play to and through the whistle,” Jaguars safety Gerald Alexander said. “So guys can take that as being dirty or being a cheap-shot artist or something like that. They play hard. Some teams may not be able to match that intensity, hence they say they play dirty.”

But Tennessee is still the third most penalized team in the NFL behind the Lions and Raiders. The Titans have been flagged for 41 penalties in their five games so far. Eight penalties per game is not a good statistic to own.

“We play aggressive,” Fisher told the press. “We don’t play cheap.”

LONG DIVISION

Tennessee is only one of three teams (Broncos and Giants the other two) that have yet to play a divisional game this season. We’re already in Week 6 so the fact the Titans haven’t played one yet is somewhat unusual.

The other whacky thing: the Titans will not play another divisional game until Nov. 28. That will begin a stretch of five divisional games over the last six weeks of the regular season.

“Yeah, it’s a little unusual,” Fisher said. “Certainly, this is our first division game, and I don’t have to tell you how the division’s stacked up right now. It takes on a significant importance. I think it’s going to be a great ballgame.”

FANS IN THE STANDS

Jacksonville has had trouble getting people to attend its games. The Jaguars have been blacked out numerous times in the past because they failed to sellout their stadium.

And there was concern that this game would not be shown locally in Jacksonville for that very reason, but enough tickets have been sold so at least the Jaguars can escape embarrassment this time.

According to Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew, the community is fired up about this game with the Titans.

“That is going to be the storyline for this game besides all the little individual things,” Jones-Drew said. “This is a very big game. It is going to be a playoff atmosphere. Everyone down here is real amped up for it.”

Monday's Best NFL Bet

Tennessee Titans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (+3,45)

The deadlocked AFC South will at least get a tad big of separation in Monday Night Football betting action, as the Tennessee Titans clash with the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Sunshine State.

RB Chris Johnson is on pace to run the ball over 360 times this year, a number which really might catch up with him later in the season. However, the young man out of East Carolina is still absolutely one of the best backs in the NFL. He has 485 rushing yards and six TDs this season, including three 100+ yard games. This seems to pale in comparison to the 11 straight 100+ yard games he had last season in his 2,006 yard year, but things are a lot easier to sort out in Tennessee games in 2010. When Johnson runs for 100+ yards, the Titans win and cover. When he doesn’t, they don’t. QB Vince Young has already been benched once this season, but he is still going to be the man that is responsible for winning this huge game for the visitors. He has completed 61.5 percent of his passes for just 684 yards with six scores and two picks, and he has rumbled for 88 yards on the ground. Needless to say, the defense is going to be licking its chops to get after the quarterback in this one, as the Titans accounted for six sacks last week against the Dallas Cowboys. Bookends DE Jason Babin and DE Dave Ball have combined for ten sacks in just five games this year.

The Jags are going to be in a world of hurt if they can’t take some of the pressure off of QB David Garrard in this one. Garrard has already thrown six picks this year, and at times, he really struggles trying to hold on to the pigskin. To make matters worse, he really doesn’t have a consistent, reliable target to try to throw to, as this team hasn’t a had a truly great receiver since the days of Jimmy Smith and Keenan McCardell. Jacksonville will need to be very careful about its rush defense this week, as it hasn’t seen a back of anywhere near the quality of Johnson on the season. This unit is suspect against the pass, but we must remember that QB Peyton Manning, QB Kyle Orton, and QB Philip Rivers have already taken shots at this ‘D’ this season. Don’t be shocked if RB Maurice Jones-Drew is called upon at least 30 times in this game. He might only be averaging 4.0 yards per carry this year, but Jones-Drew is the best offensive weapon that HC Jack Del Rio has at his disposal.

If you can’t throw the ball on the Titans and become one dimensional, you’re probably going to lose. This secondary is the weakness of the team, and it isn’t going to be exploited by Garrard and company. The NFL picks in this game are easy to make. Back the visitors.

Pick: Tennessee Titans -2.5

Monday's Best MLB Mound Matchup

Cliff Lee, Texas Rangers vs. Andy Pettitte, New York Yankees

Cliff Lee (14-9, 3.09 ERA)

Cliff Lee takes the mound in New York for Game 3 looking to add another chapter to his playoff mystique. The 32-year-old lefty is 6-0 in seven playoff starts with a 1.44 ERA.

He has made two postseason starts this year, beating the Rays by identical 5-1 scores in the first and last games of the series demonstrating the dominant control he has had all year. Lee hasn’t walked a batter in the playoffs after issuing just 18 free passes to first in 212 1/3 innings pitched in the regular season.

"I don't think there's an exact science how you approach Cliff Lee," Yankees manager Joe Girardi told reporters. "But to me, he's a lot like Roy Halladay. If you try to take a couple of pitches and get deep in the count, you might be 0-2. So for me with Cliff Lee, I think you have to be ready to hit from pitch one. And if he makes a mistake, don't miss it."

Lee has two wins in three starts against the Yankees this season with a 3.09 ERA. He will be in line to face the Yanks again if the series goes to seven games.

Andy Pettitte (12-3, 3.24 ERA)

Andy Pettitte has been overshadowed in this matchup by Lee, but don’t forget New York’s 38-year-old veteran has the most playoff wins in MLB history.
He picked up his 19th career postseason wins when he went seven innings allowing two runs in a 5-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins in the ALDS, but you have to wonder how he’ll react to an 11-day layoff with just four starts under his belt after July 18.

The Yanks need a lift, too. Phil Hughes and CC Sabathia both allowed five runs in their starts to begin this series.

“Obviously, it’s going to be 11 days for me making this start on Monday, which is an awful long time," Pettitte told reporters after the Yankees’ 7-2 Game 2 loss Saturday. "You’d rather pitch on three days’ rest than (10) days’ rest, I can promise you that much.

"I think literally, it’s if you can get through those first couple of innings. If you can control your emotions and get going early. Sometimes it’s tough to get going."

Pettitte is 5-0 over his last nine playoff starts, posting a 2.88 ERA.

Monday's Best MLB Bet

Texas Rangers at New York Yankees (+105, 7.5)

The Texas Rangers were only 42-42 on the road during the regular season, but have to feel pretty good heading into New York as they’re unbeaten as visitors in the postseason – especially with Cliff Lee taking the hill. Texas took all three first-round road games at Tampa Bay.

Rangers manager Ron Washington is still trying to decide who will play first base on Monday. You’d think Jorge Cantu, who bats right, would be the guy (even though he is hitless in seven playoff at bats) with the Yanks sending out lefty Andy Pettitte, but rookie Mitch Moreland is making a case to get the call.

Moreland bats left but is hitting .316 with two doubles and two RBIs in six playoff games. He was 2-for-3 with a walk in Game 2 and also picked up a ninth-inning single against Mariano Rivera in Game 1.

“We have a blue collar approach to the game, and we have welcomed him with open arms because he's just like that,” Texas’ Michael Young said of Moreland. “He's not scared of anything. No situation is going to mess with him. He had the usual rookie hiccups during the season, but it was because he was a rookie, not because he was scared."

Texas has put up 17 runs over its last three games.

Pick: Texas Rangers

NHL Betting Preview

AVALANCHE (3-2-0) at RANGERS (1-1-1)

TV -- VERSUS (HD); TSN2 (HD)

Season Series -- This is the first of two games between these cross-conference clubs. The visiting Rangers claimed the only game against the Avs last season with a 3-1 victory on Jan. 31, 2010. Currently injured right wing Marian Gaborik notched a hat trick for the Rangers in that game.

Big Story -- The Rangers are in for quite an uphill battle after the high-scoring Gaborik and captain Chris Drury both went down with injuries during Friday's home-opener overtime loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. According to the Rangers, Gaborik is expected to miss two-to-four weeks with a separated left shoulder and Drury will be out six weeks after suffering a fracture to the same left finger he broke during training camp. As of Saturday, Rangers coach John Tortorella said he would not rely on any callups from the Hartford Wolfpack (AHL) and will instead go with Todd White and Erik Christensen as Gaborik and Drury's respective replacements.

Team Scope:

Avalanche -- The Avs would like to look past their disappointing 5-2 loss at the New York Islanders on Saturday and should be confident heading into the last contest of a five-game road trip since they won't have to worry about handling Gaborik. Before the Islanders loss, Colorado had won three of its first four games of the season with a balanced scoring attack led by a collection of high-powered youth like Chris Stewart (age 22), Paul Stastny (24) and Matt Duchene (19). Colorado is 2-2-0 on its current road trip.

Rangers -- New York has done a fine job recently with assembling a younger, quicker squad and they currently need to rely on their kids more than ever. With White and Christensen not being the type of players that can truly replicate the skill void left by Gaborik and Drury; youngsters like forwards Brandon Dubinsky (age 24), Derek Stepan (20) and Ryan Callahan (25) and defensemen Marc Staal (23) and Michael Del Zotto (20) will have to continue playing strong if the Blueshirts hope to be competitive in 2010-11.

Who's Hot -- Avalanche defenseman John-Michael Liles is currently on a season-opening five-game points streak, tallying an NHL-leading seven assists over that span... For the Rangers, Dubinsky has four points (3g, 1a) over his first three games of the season.

Injury Report -- For the Avs, center Peter Mueller has still not played at all this season due to a concussion ... As mentioned earlier, Gaborik (left shoulder) and Drury (left finger) are out with long-term injuries for the Rangers.

Stat Pack -- According to the 2010-11 opening-day rosters, the Rangers defensive corps is the youngest in the Eastern Conference with an average age of 25 years and 51 days.

Puck Drop -- "Obviously this is not the way you want to come into the lineup. But I just have to go out and do what’s asked of me, whatever role it is. I am just excited for the opportunity." -- Todd White, a healthy scratch over the Rangers' first three games.

SENATORS (1-3-1) at PENGUINS (3-3-0)

TV: SportsNet-Ottawa; Fox Sports-Pittsburgh.

Season Series: This is the first of four meetings between the teams. They split the four meetings in 2009-10.

Big Story: Monday's matchup features two teams still trying to find their way. Granted, the Penguins are tied for first place with the New York Islanders in the Atlantic Division, but they're just 1-3-0 at the Consol Energy Center. Meanwhile, Ottawa has just one victory in five tries and has been outscored 16-10.

Team Scope:

Senators: Ottawa enters this match trying to avoid a three-game losing streak. The Sens have lost a pair of one-goal games, most recently dropping a 4-3 decision at Montreal on Saturday night.

"It's just the small things right now," defenseman Erik Karlsson said after the loss. "I think we battled hard and we played good, it's just that we've got to close the game off a little more there when we have a two-goal lead and play a little bit smarter. Overall, I think we're on the right track here."

Penguins: Pittsburgh built off its first home win Friday night against the Islanders, as the Pens went to Philadelphia and pummeled the Flyers in a 5-1 win at the Wells Fargo Center. Sidney Crosby had a pair of power-play goals and also added an assist.

"Coming into Philly -- with this rivalry and in this building -- and getting a win is always a good thing," coach Dan Bylsma said. "To have to come in here and get a big win after playing (Friday) night … I thought our guys battled hard and it was good to get the two points."

Who's Hot: Sens forward Milan Michalek scored twice on Saturday and has three goals in five games, while Jason Spezza is 1-3-4 in four contests. … Crosby is tied for the team lead in goals (3) and points (6).

Injury Report: For the Senators, goalie Pascal Leclaire (groin) is out indefinitely. Filip Kuba is expected to return next month from a broken leg. … Pens center Jordan Staal (foot) is out indefinitely, as is right wing Arron Asham (shoulder) and defenseman Zbynek Michalek (shoulder). Brooks Orpik (groin) is day-to-day.

Stat Pack: Sens forward Alex Kovalev is still in search of his first point. In his last 22 games dating back to last season, the Russian has just one goal and one assist and is minus-17. … Crosby's two power-play goals on Saturday marked the fourth consecutive contest the Penguins have tallied on the man advantage.

Puck Drop: "For whatever reason, we just stopped pressuring their defense. We started cheating on our breakouts. We refused to just get pucks in deep and forecheck. We just gave them too much momentum. Basically, the ice became slanted in one direction." -- Ottawa coach Cory Clouston after Saturday's loss at Montreal

Monday's Best NHL Bets

Colorado Avalanche at New York Rangers (-125, 5.5)

The New York Rangers dropped a 4-3 overtime decision to the streaking Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday, but the lost point was the least of their worries by the time they left Madison Square Garden.

Captain Chris Drury made his return to the lineup only to break the same finger he had broken in preseason and will be out another six weeks. What’s worse is that the club also lost sniper Marian Gaborik for 2-4 weeks when he was crunched against the boards and separated his shoulder.

“It was a hit from behind, for sure,” Gaborik told reporters. “I tried to stay out for the power play, but it was getting worse and worse. I got the puck and at one point tried to make a play, but I knew something’s wrong, not just a little bruise."

As a result, New York’s top line will likely be made up of Artem Anisimov centering Brandon Dubinsky and Ryan Callahan – not exactly household names.
Rangers coach John Tortorella said that he didn’t expect any call-ups from the minors for Monday’s game, hoping that Erik Christensen (groin) would be set to go. Todd White is expected to make his Rangers debut, as well.

Pick: Colorado Avalanche

Ottawa Senators at Pittsburgh Penguins (-170, 5.5)

Things are looking better for the Ottawa Senators, but they still head into Monday’s game trying to avoid a third straight loss.

The Sens are coming off a pair of one-goal losses, the most recent of which being a 4-3 loss to Montreal on Saturday. The game was tied at three before Tomas Plekanec scored at the 16:41-mark of the third.

“For whatever reason, we just stopped pressuring their defense,” Ottawa coach Cory Clouston told reporters after the game. “We started cheating on our breakouts. We refused to just get pucks in deep and forecheck. We just gave them too much momentum. Basically, the ice became slanted in one direction.”

The Senators, who are averaging only two goals a night, also have to get a lot more pucks to the net. They were outshot 40-19 by Montreal and average only 26.6 shots per game – 28th in the NHL.

Pick: Pittsburgh Penguins

Bettors' Best Friend (BBF): Monday's Wagering Tips

Lines To Watch

The total for the Tennessee Titans-Jacksonville Jaguars matchup is up to 45 after opening at 42.

Who’s Hot

The New York Yankees are 8-1 in their last nine playoff games in New York.

Ottawa Senators are 16-6 in their last 22 meetings with Pittsburgh.

The Colorado Avalanche have won seven of their last nine games against the New York Rangers.

The Dallas Stars are off to a 4-0 start and have won seven of their last eight games in Tampa Bay.

Who’s Not

The Texas Rangers are 3-7 in their last 10 games as a favorite.

The Tennessee Titans are 1-10 ATS against teams with a winning record.

The New York Islanders have won only six of their last 27 games in Toronto.

Key Stat

6 – Number of walks Cliff Lee has issued in seven career postseason starts. He’s working on a 29:0 strikeout-to-walk ratio over his last three starts this year.

Injuries That Shouldn’t Be Overlooked

Chris Johnson (thigh), Tennessee Titans – Johnson’s expected to start against Jacksonville, but was limited in practice most of the week. He has 485 rushing yards and six touchdowns this season.

Justin Gage (hamstring), Tennessee Titans – Gage has been ruled out of this week’s Monday Nighter. Last week Kenny Britt stepped up with Gage on the sidelines, pulling in four catches for 86 yards and a touchdown in a win at Dallas. Rookie Damian Williams chipped in a pair of grabs for 30 yards.

Game Of The Day

Texas Rangers at New York Yankees

Notable Quotable

"They're one of those teams that play to and through the whistle. So guys can take that as being dirty or being a cheap-shot artist or something like that. They play hard. Some teams may not be able to match that intensity, hence they say they play dirty." – Jaguars safety Gerald Alexander said of the Titans who have been flagged for 41 penalties this year, which puts them behind only Detroit and Oakland in that category.

Tips And Notes

Michael Kay of the YES network has suggested that Texas Rangers starter Cliff Lee is using a combination of rosin and powder on his ball cap, so that when he adjusts his hat, he can get a better grip on the ball. So far, the Yankees haven’t complained about the situation to the league. Lee has a 1.44 ERA in the postseason while going 6-0 in his career.

The New York Yankees are doing their best to make sure Josh Hamilton doesn’t beat them. The Yanks walked Texas’ banged-up slugger four times – twice intentionally – in Game 2, which was one off an ALCS single-game record. Hamilton has walked seven times in the postseason but is trying to do what he can when he gets on with four stolen bases. Vladimir Guerrero, hitting behind Hamilton in the order, is batting only .214 in the playoffs.

The Dallas Stars’ top line of Brad Richards, Loui Eriksson, and James Neal combined for six points in Saturday’s 3-2 win over the St. Louis Blues. Richards is tied for the league scoring lead with nine points through four games heading into Monday’s tilt with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Titans (-3) over JAGUARS: Both teams are 3-2, but the stat that stands out is that the Jaguars are giving up 27.4 points per game. Not easy to keep winning that way.
